"ayubowan" means hi or welcome in sri lanka, had been exploring the land of temples, teas, beaches and we enjoyed it much.

"ni hao"!! means how are you or apa khabar, normally use by chinese people in china to greet people. Of course, I just return from china, exploring the provinces of southern sichuan, guizhou, yunnan and cross the vietnamese border and ends up in hanoi. My 2008 trip was trailing the silky silk road from kashgar to turpan in xinjiang, onwards to gansu, shaanxi, hunan, guangxi and finally ends my trip in guangdong province, travelled more than 12000km in 30 days, what an unforgettable experience!! "mingalarbar" is a burmese traditional greeting word. Mingalarbar means the auspiciousness and it is a deep meaningful word for greeting each other in Burma society. I'm just back from the golden land!! I think it's the land of million pagodas, Burma or Myanmar!!!

"namasté" or "namaskar: is an Indian greeting or parting phrase as well as a gesture. It is commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists. It means "I bow to you". The word is derived from Sanskrit (namas): to bow and (te): "to you". It is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointed upwards, in front of the chest. The gesture can also be performed wordlessly and carry the same meaning.
I've been to incredible india, the land of mughals, maharaja, temples, forts, holy city, god & goddesses and the birthplace of two of the world's great religions, Hinduism and Buddhism.

mabuhay!! ...is welcome word in tagalog. I've also been to the land of 7000 islands, Philippines. It also means Hello or welcome. But I guess the best meaning of the word in English is Long Live.

It's not about the numbers or destinations but the journey, the fun we had, the awesome places we've been & seen, the food we tried, the nice people we met, the kindness of strangers, the difficulty, the unexpected, the good or bad, the happy or sad, that inspires me to travel more.
